We are delighted to announce that we are now an Official Supporter of Bridgwater United Community Sports Trust’s Launch Week early next month.
The Trust, in partnership with Bridgwater United FC, aims to provide all members of the local community with the opportunity to access quality sport, physical activity, and wellbeing provision whatever their age, gender or ethnicity. Whilst using football as the driving force it aims to increase participation in schools, improve health and wellbeing, while developing programmes that engage the whole community.
The Launch Week event takes place between 1st and 5th June, and will see a total of 15 free taster sessions for the local community to experience.
As a Somerset business for over 40 years we understand that sport can bring people of all ages together, as well as help to maintain physical and mental wellbeing, and so we are pleased to be part of this initiative. We’ve also donated a Bird Table as a prize in their Launch Week draw!
The Trust’s Community Development Manager Oli Moore commented, “Bridgwater United Football Club and the Community Sports Trust are committed to sustainability and being environmentally friendly, this commitment is shared with Somerlap who are powered with 100% renewable, locally generated energy. This is an exciting opportunity for us to partner with a Somerset based company, which have been manufacturing quality, carefully selected and sustainably sourced timber garden products for 20 years and are passionate about supporting the local community.
