Somerlap support Kewstoke Lions
Somerlap are proud supporters and sponsors of Kewstoke Lions.
Last season was a disappointment for Kewstoke Lions which resulted in them being relegated to the Weston-Super-Mare Division 2. Turning their disappointment into a challenge, the team fought back and had a promising pre-season.
The team have received several boosts since the relegation. These include the arrival of new management along with an eager squad of 18 players all wanting to be picked for the team. They also had a boost from Somerlap Forest Products who sponsored the Team’s new Training Tops.
So far this season the team have played 9 games; won 7, drawn 1, lost 1 making them clearly top of their division. They also managed to make it to the quarter finals of the Division Cup. Unfortunately, a couple of errors on the day meant they lost 3-1 in extra time.
Kewstoke Lions are looking forward to the season ahead with their main challenge this year is to make it back to Division 1
