Have you put the Somerlap Christmas Fayre in Mark in your diary? If not, here's 10 reasons to join us for our 3rd annual Christmas Fayre on the 9th December.
1. Get in the Christmas spirit
First things first, the fayre is a great chance to get in the swing of the festive season. There will be twinkly lights and Christmas cheer aplenty!
2. Pick up your Christmas tree
The timing of the fayre (9th December) is the perfect time to pick up your Christmas tree. We'll have a range of excellent value Norway Spruce, Blue Spruce and Nordmann Fir trees available and we can wrap your tree so it's easy to get it home. We often sell out quite quickly, so it's worth contacting us to check availability.
3. The chance to win a bench for a local school of your choice
Just fill in the slip on our flyer (available on the day) for a chance to win a timber bench for the school of your choice. The lucky winner will also win a prize of their own to keep!
4. Check out the Somerlap range
We'll have some of our fantastic range of sheds, summer houses, storage and playdens set up on site. During the fayre you'll be able to wander around and see these quality products first hand. Our friendly staff will be ready to help if you have any questions!
5. Get the Christmas shopping sorted
This year our selection of stalls is bigger and better than ever before. There will be something for everyone from sweets, crafts, clothes and jewellery, wooden toys, books and much, much more.
6. Enter the raffle for the chance to win a wide range of prizes
Buy yourself a handful of raffle tickets for a chance to win one of the prizes kindly donated by the stallholders. You may even win a fabulous timber climbing frame donated by Somerlap!
7. Enjoy some Christmassy snacks (or just a burger)
We'll have a range of hot and cold drinks, plus biscuits and mince pies available in exchange for a small donation (all of which will go to our chosen charity Open Door). There will also be a burger van on site in case you need a more substantial, hot meal.
8. Discover unique local crafts
Our stallholders include many talented, local craftspeople and artists. Confirmed stalls include glass blown gifts, handmade cards, holly wreaths and much more.
9. Pick up some Somerlap bargains
Got your eye on a bargain? You'll be able to check out all our ex-display and sale stock plus a range of smaller items on the Somerlap stall!
10. Support a local charity
You'll get the the 'feel good' factor of knowing you've helped support a local charity. All proceeds from the stall hire, raffle and donations for the refreshments will go to Open Door in Taunton.
